Write a Blog. Newspapers are shutting down left and right, especially those that aren't implementing an internet strategy. A new editorial tool has taken it's place and that's is a blog. Create one directly on your site and update it daily, weekly, or bi-weekly to bring readers directly to your site. You can also do one for free on sites such as Blogger.com, and BlogSpot.com- two sources owned by Google (the company you want to work with) that will give you prime search engine placement because their robots search their own content first. Place your links all over the blog and not only will you have multiple listings on google, but they will all point to you.
Join Facebook. Social Media is all the new hype right now and for good reason. More and more individuals are jumping on facebook and creating profiles, promoting their businesses, and reconnecting than ever before. Join our fast growing Facebook group here. The beauty of it is that you can connect with long-lost friends, everyone in all those business cards that you threw into a drawer after that convention or meeting, and new professionals in your city, along with potential home buyers. It's easy to keep track off and easy to keep in touch without having to make tons of phone calls and send cards. Make sure to open a regular account and set up a "page" for your business. so that you can gather fans.
Use Twitter. If you ever wanted to tell everyone what you were up to without having to make tons of calls and send out tons of emails, then you need to open up a Twitter.com account. You can gain millions of followers that are interested in what you are and have small conversations with new individuals that you want to do business with. Check out our twitter profile here. It's fun to be on twitter and see what everyone is thinking about. Just make sure not to make it all about promotions but have real conversations to or let people know what you are up to. Too many promotions in a very short span will get you "unfollowed" immediately.
There are many other tools that I usually recommend like Linked In, Plaxo, Ping.fm, Landing Pages, etc... The key is to learn from the masters in internet marketing and have a good internet marketer on your team ready to help you reach that first page in Google.
